Previous Events

2026

The Alfaisal University Formula Team organized a car showcasing event highlighting their participation in the Student Formula Competition in Australia, sponsored by ROSHN Group. The event presented the team’s engineering journey, beginning from vehicle design and preparation stages through travel and participation in the final international competitions. The showcasing allowed students and visitors to explore the vehicle’s technical features, learn about the engineering process behind its development, and engage directly with team members about innovation, teamwork, and performance engineering. This participation reflects the students’ technical expertise, dedication, and ability to represent Alfaisal University with excellence on an international stage. The team proudly represented Alfaisal University at the Shell Eco-Marathon Qatar 2026, an international engineering competition focused on innovation, sustainability, and energy-efficient vehicle design. The competition brought together university teams from across the Middle East and beyond to showcase advanced engineering solutions aimed at improving energy efficiency and sustainable mobility. Through months of preparation, design, testing, and teamwork, the team successfully competed at a high international level and achieved outstanding results:SDG 7, SDG 9, SDG 12, SDG 13

These achievements reflect the team’s technical excellence, innovation, collaboration, and commitment to advancing sustainable engineering solutions while proudly representing Alfaisal University on an international stage. During the summer period, the team completed the full design of the XH4 chassis while continuing to test and refine the previous internal combustion vehicle.

The internal combustion platform will be re-entered into the upcoming FSAE competition as the electric vehicle continues development, ensuring sustained competition participation and progressive technical transition. SDG 9, SDG 7, SDG 13

Alongside the development of the XH4 vehicle, the team participated in multiple university and industry engineering competitions, including the annual poster competition and the Boeing engineering competition.

The team consistently achieved podium placements and secured multiple first-place finishes, demonstrating creativity, technical precision, and strong problem-solving capabilities across engineering disciplines. SDG 9, SDG 7, SDG 13

2024

Following the competition, the team initiated the development of a new race car, the XH4, marking the transition toward a fully electric platform with a carbon monocoque chassis. The vehicle represents a new engineering phase for Haizum Racing.

The team structured itself into specialized subgroups focusing on chassis design, aerodynamics, powertrain systems, high-voltage electronics, and embedded controls. This organized framework enabled efficient progress across technical divisions and strengthened interdisciplinary collaboration. SDG 9, SDG 13, SDG 7

During the 2024–2025 academic year, Alfaisal Haizum Racing competed in the FSAE-A Australia 2024 Competition in the Internal Combustion Engine category. The team successfully passed all technical inspections, a critical milestone that enabled full participation in the dynamic events and demonstrated strong adherence to engineering standards and safety compliance.

The team achieved the following placements:

  • Fourth place overall in the ICE category
  • Third place in the Cost Static Event
  • Second place in the Business Proposal Event
  • Special Commendation Award
